ADOPTION UPDATE:
We cleared another hurdle yesterday: immigration approvals.
We now have our I-800a (home study approval) and I-800 (provisional approval to adopt a particular child). This was big.
Next, we get these notarized and apostilled, and the embassy in our child’s home country prepares the Article 5 letter, a document we need to obtain his visa to travel with us.
There are still a few steps, but we’re eyeing the calendar for potential travel dates.
