My local library has been under renovation for the last year and a half, we finally got a reopening date (May 22), I am over the moon
Ordered new glasses, went to a book swap event downtown

Plumber arrived to help fix our slow kitchen drain, got our internet cables tangled in the gear on the roof of his truck, and now we have a sink that drains well but no internet
OTOH I am very much enjoying Everything for Everyone, and making much headway on The Hundred Years’ War on Palestine
I am enjoying my vacation up in Maine but this is truly a cursed place for my tech—two years ago my phone went through the wash, and today my work computer just stopped working out of the blue. Nature is telling me to unplug when I’m up here and I keep not listening
Em just left early to take her AP US history (aka APUSH!) exam, whew this is all happening too fast

OpenAI Sora is impressive on some fronts, utterly comical in others. I know they’ll eventually figure out how to not have the rendered people’s feet randomly switch mid-stride, but for now I’m grateful for the glitches in The Matrix
