@ingrid fun fact about me, I recently discovered I'm in the top 500 contributors in the US, probably because I play street complete on the bus and am therefore essentially Changesets Georg.
@ingrid that's a great post. i'm glad you wrote it. i agree that the "craft mapper" debate is no longer really a debate. I'm glad that OSM is without gigantic controversy for quite some time now.
@ian yeah the vibes seem much better!
the good thing is there is a pretty vibrant world of academic scholarship on OSM (albeit mostly in the realm of data analysis rather than ethnography) so I can lean on that a bit if I don't want to get into Specific Annoying Guy stuff
