I haven't been very good at keeping track of word counts lately but after about a week the introduction is at 9,013 words (with the caveat I just re-used the lit review I wrote for the proposal because why would I write a new one)

2288 / a little more borrowing from the proposal included here but I don't totally hate the intro? which is good bc I am feeling so drained/uninspired wrt the diss most days so it's nice to write stuff that doesn't feel like BS or task fulfilling
