For the first day of spookytober I went to Green-Wood Cemetery, where I went to take a look at this extremely prolific crabapple tree and discovered that someone had been devoured and perhaps pooped out here.
(Can anyone identify what creature met its fate here under the crabapple tree?)

I'd like to think that the victim was the woodpecker who absolutely peppered this tree with holes, but I don't even know enough to tell whether those were bird bones or not.
Anyway, look at all the fruit! The tree's name is W16-79 if you want to visit it and make jam.
