@ingrid is there something like the dymaxion projection but instead of being 20 triangles, it's a flattened geodesic dome (hundreds or thousands of triangles)??

@ingrid i threw together a quick autocad drawing of a flattened v6 geodesic sphere on my lunch break and i think i messed something up because a few of the triangles clip into each other but i like the way it looks like 5 of the Cool S
@kit probably pretty hard though I wonder how much you could just hack a dymaxion
@ingrid a friend brought a copy of "inefficient mapping" on a camping trip last weekend and in talking with them about fucked up map projections, i realized i still had to finish the "cool s" projection
@ingrid how hard would it be to turn this into a map lol
