Saw somebody saying Age of Pleasure is Janelle Monáe "[trading] sci-fi mythologising for carnally-minded joy" and the fact that so many of y'all think those are opposing poles or mutually exclusive aspects rather than the mélange of a whole person is why i get so damn sad sometimes.
