@kissane @ingrid @tinysubversions ways to do FOSS social good that aren't "get more money and pay more moderators" would be very interesting to me. I've never been involved in a nonprofit or FOSS project that had money for things like "moderators" or "accountants" or "things" but could sure use advice on structuring volunteerism in a way that's not a downward spiral or toxic cabal

@kissane @ingrid @tinysubversions (after all, Facebook has more money than many nation states but still sucks so bad we had to create Fediverse to begin with. So money doesn't actually fix culture and management issues and sometimes even motives, at least not primarily)
