https://ripcorp.biz/episodes/a-wing-and-a-prayer we wrapped this episode of RIP Corp way back in late Nov/early Dec but for various reasons it's dropping now—can't decide if reflecting on the legacy and limits of resistance grift is timely or just sad, but still think we did a mostly good job
@ingrid I'm listening to it now as part of my after lunch return to trying to get a code repo under control!
@rowmyboat @ingrid /flailgasp
/wide staring eyes thinking about which specifically fit the RIPCorp theme of failed businesses/business failures
@rowmyboat @ingrid like I have an interesting project here which is about the system we designed and successfullyused through 1999 but we tried to sell it and totally failed except we sold it to Tulsa so we still had to support them, but it got pulled off the market because “entrepreneurs we ain’t” a letter from my dean at the time (198x).
I also believe it was a geothermal company that tried to sell one… I want to find that for my own interests
@platypus @ingrid and there’s Marshall’s chart https://librarytechnology.org/mergers/
@ingrid that was great, and also yay shoutout to https://www.seaandsoilcoop.com/ which is too far for me to go regularly, but I love it anyway!
@ingrid cannot express how excited I was to see this episode show up in my podcast feed (also lol I am currently waiting on a webinar to begin about "How to Get Certified as a Woman-Owned Business")
