The Warby Parker sales person asked if I wanted an "anti fatigue" lens thing on my new glasses and I said "no thanks I'll just do drugs" and I don't even really do drugs besides caffeine but I wanted to break up the monotony of the day for him
@ingrid Yeah all of that anti-fatigue/blue light blocking stuff is all psuedoscience. Anyone putting on any of those glasses can tell it's not actually blocking blue light ("Oh, but it's a sPecIfIc wAvElEnGtH") enough to affect circadian rhythms.
The truth of the matter is that the only way to fight eyestrain (if you suffer from it) is to take focal length breaks and not stare at a bright phone in bed, period.
Which is the most boomer answer also haha.
@ingrid There are also psuedoscience glasses that do the same thing with a certain shade of pink to help with migraines. And two different companies patented two different shades. So I just went on Zenni and bought the cheapest frames with pink tints and they help a bit (and I didn't pay $500 for them) when I have photo sensitivity, and it's less intrusive in my daily life than wearing sunglasses indoors.
@ingrid if my glasses could really help with the fatigue I’d pay so much…
