I figured this would make a good first post here on Mastodon. This is from Ingenuity's 45th flight taken on February 22, 2023 at about 5:07 PM. I produced two versions. One with my standard noise reduction, lens correction, flat fielded with color correction applied. The other is the same but cropped with an extended sky for better framing. @thedudeabidez88 This is lovely. I don’t know anything about Ingenuity’s imaging – does noise reduction happen before or after demosaicking?
@vruba Ingenuity's RTE color images come down already demosaiced. The images are very large in file size as it is for the radio link bandwidth that they have. I do the noise correction with Topaz Denoise AI after flat fielding and color correction, then proceed to lens correction.
