@vruba 10 years is too long an outlook. 2014-2015-era social media, which broke people’s brains, started 9 years ago. There have been two newly-elected U.S. Presidents since then. The fediverse has some business models (including non- and not-for-profit), meaning organizational sustainability is forming, so it still be around. The 2022-23 centriverse is currently in chaos, though, and hasn’t reached an equilibrium, so, outlook unclear.
