“The present IP system can be abused by actors powerful enough to abuse all of our legal systems, therefore we need a much more restrictive IP system” really isn’t clicking for me.
@vruba Similar to the open source conundrum. Maximum societal benefit seems to come from freedom of use and reuse, but said freedoms disadvantage the original creators. It sucks that the main monetizers are this vampire squid corporations, but not sure it sucks more than the alternatives.
