ok, so what FOSS software makes the most sense for drawing e.g. a garden plan, floor plan, campsite layout, stage setup, etc.?

(i'm staring at a thing in inkscape and contemplating doing another one, and once again thinking it would be nice to use something that's _meant_ for this sort of task.)
