@ingrid Thank you for the link, I listened through 3 minutes of the audio. Your book, then, is an inventory and assessment of the hardware infrastructure in NYC, orange utility stripes possibly marking City conduits leased to major carriers, boxes atop structures which may be routers, or wifi access points. Sort of a geographic inventory of known hardware. Seems like this should be a seed for an open source movement to identify such with Open Street Maps assuming OSM does not box to fascists.
