@SarahBreau totally not meant as a scold and sorry it came across that way! The comparison is more based in observing that capitalist corporations are basically a form of sentient AI that already do harm and AGI is more likely than not a hypothetical talked up by rich tech people who want to draw attention away from practical regulatory issues. It's not one is "worse" so much as one isn't real.
