mental health (positive, kinda)
@aredridel she's the best psychiatrist I've ever seen
mental health (positive, kinda)
@aredridel the last time we checked in I said something like "it really feels like things are just going to stay bad for a really long time" and she replied "oh, definitely"
mental health (positive, kinda)
I check in with my psychiatrist like once a year to make sure nothing's weird with the medications I've been on for like five years and this time she was like "you're really doing great!" which was not how I'd been interpreting my current situation but I guess when I explain it to someone who met me at one of my absolute lowest points it's a different vibe
Sometimes Kitty gives little kisses and that is encouraging but she's less helpful on the existential stuff
You should read “Networks of New York: An illustrated field guide to urban Internet infrastructure" by @ingrid - I’m currently collecting Montreal man hole covers for my own collection :)
@blaue_flecken oooh love that Montreal conduits one!

Re-upping this again: I wish more lefties could internalize the idea that hypocrisy is not a meaningful accusation to the right. Of course they're being hypocrites. That you are bound, by rules, standards, logic, human decency, some fundamental moral consistency, anything at all, and they are not? That is their conception of what power is, and why they seek it. So they can exercise power, without constraint, and you cannot.
That's the whole point.
Hypocrisy is the virtue-signaling of fascism.
@TeamMidwest Eira it's bad! But horrifyingly commonplace.
“She said over and over again, ‘Where are all the good people to put a stop to this?’ She felt like, how can you go through your entire life and then have something that you spent 50 years of your life doing just kind of trampled on like it’s meaningless?”
She died in midsentence, he said, at around 1:30 p.m.
