hi who here thinks i should write an expose on why my cheap on-campus breakfast sandwich was replaced by one that is literally half as big and two dollars more and try to get the independent student newspaper to publish it
@oddletters lol good luck but also yes the paper would be ALL OVER THIS ISSUE
@wynkenhimself right??? diamondback come on thruuuuuu
@oddletters It's not Sodexo, is it? They're horrible
@Aranjedeath no idea but my research bio says im interested in public private partnerships so i believe this is entirely within my purview
@oddletters oh absolutely -- They were just the contractor on my uni campus for food and they were hell to work with.
Things launched after I graduated, and after Sodexo was no longer the food contractor: https://www.montereyherald.com/2018/10/24/otter-eats-program-alerts-students-about-free-food-on-campus/
@Aranjedeath the foodwaste on our campus is wild???
@oddletters Yeah. They literally fought us to do things like that. And you can read in the article, the liability issue was essentially mitigated via simple policy change (can't leave the event with the food -- threads the needle). Just an absolute refusal to lose even a dollar of profit. Hate it.
_on campus food services maybe corruption_
_definitely gonna get my sandwich back and not result in me getting fired_
