Je Tu Il Elle - continuing Chantal Akerman at MOMA. I first saw this decades ago. I was surprised how little detail I remembered while at the same time it was lodged in my subconscious (the idea of sitting alone in a bare room, eating sugar from a paper bag and scribbling notes on sheets of loose leaf paper) For some reason my clearest memory of it was false. In my mind was a scene that wasn’t in the film but could’ve been. And it was in color

Moving always sucks, especially when you are self isolating and have hoarding tendencies, but then friends come out of the woodwork and are supportive and kind and you get to spend real quality time with them and it’s kind of magical.

Was driving down Coney Island Avenue recently and noticed that these are now gone. They may not have been great (or even good) art and their historicity is dubious, but I liked that they were there and I'm sad that they're gone. the long defunct bell telephone logo is still there.
