current big dissertation feedback gripe is the committee member who really thinks that I should be writing a dissertation about surveillance capitalism despite me stating in my proposal and defense that surveillance capitalism will be lightly touched upon but is not the central focus here

Going through 2000s-2010s lit on open source for the dissertation and around 2015 a pivot starts where the notion of the "commons" is abandoned in favor of "infrastructure" and that discursive shift seems important
